La Tarte Au Sucre sur Thionville

Right now, this bakery could use a refresh. It's rather dim and too dark. The concept of these four bakeries is fantastic, especially this one in Thionville, which is also artisanal, and that's what makes the whole operation so successful. It's a really great idea: preparing all the goods in one place and distributing them every two hours to the four bakeries. 👍🏼 The pastries are good, as are the sandwiches 🥪, and the cream puffs are truly excellent, particularly the blood orange one where you can really taste the fruit. Plus, the prices are quite low on average, so it's really inexpensive. In any case, it's been working very well for over six years, and there's a reason for that. Well done, you're the only ones operating this way in the region! 👍🏼

Excellent bakery and pastry shop. I recommend the tutti-fruti and the cream puffs.

It's possible to grab something for lunch at an affordable price. Never disappointed by the taste. I recommend the cream puffs; they come in different flavors.

The best doughnuts around, made with real powdered sugar. The sugar pie is also very, very good.

The saleswomen are always very polite and cheerful, despite the crowds that can be there at certain times.

The bakery is clean, the products are high quality, and the manager is kind, respectful, and welcoming. However, I would like to report the behavior of some of the saleswomen. At the end of 2024, more precisely on December 12th around 8:40 a.m., before going to work, I stopped by the La Tarte au Sucre bakery to buy a marble cake and some doughnuts. There were two saleswomen in the shop, deep in conversation. I said hello twice, without a response. The third time, I said, "Is anyone there?" One of them then turned around and looked at me strangely. When I asked for doughnuts, she replied in a very firm tone, "I don't have any doughnuts, period." At the time, I didn't pay any attention to it, but in retrospect, this situation made me feel uncomfortable. I find it regrettable that a lack of courtesy on the part of some saleswomen can tarnish the image of an otherwise high-quality establishment. I hope that this type of behavior can be corrected in the future.
