La Taverne sur Saint-Cyprien

The portions are very generous, we ate incredibly well there. The meat, pasta, and hamburgers are all delicious. The atmosphere is very pleasant and fun. I highly recommend it!

Very friendly and pleasant service. The owner is a sweetheart.

Enjoyable place to stop for lunch. I had confit de canard and enjoyed it very much. The portion sizes were generous definitely a good place to stop.

The charcuterie and cheese sharing platters were excellent, generous, and full of thoughtful touches: salads with vinaigrette, mini Isigny butter parcels… The fries were superb, perfectly crispy. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and they had good beers on tap. The only slight drawback: the bread… With such a lovely bakery right across the street, a good sourdough loaf would be the icing on the cake! We'll be back with a larger group for lunch or dinner.

It's always a pleasure to come and enjoy an excellent pizza, made with quality ingredients and one of the best sourdough doughs. The welcome is warm. In short, we'll be back.

While passing through Saint Cyprien, we discovered La Taverne, where we had dinner. Very friendly staff, a pleasant atmosphere, and a pleasant setting... What more could you ask for? Well: a platter of excellent foie gras, a platter of charcuterie, and some well-made Pécharmant cheese. In short, nothing but pleasure! The "icing" on the cake was our choice of "childhood memories" ice cream for dessert: chocolate, vanilla, and marshmallows... We had a blast! Thank you to the whole team for this excellent experience. I highly recommend it.

Spent numerous long lunches here during our short stays in Saint-Cyprien. It's such a great location next to the fountain. You can position yourself perfectly so you can see up and down the street and get a feeling for village life. We first visited La Taverne back in 2013, every single time we visit the area we make a point of coming back to Laverne for at least one or two lunches. My highlight this time was the Entrecôte served with a sensational truffle potato gratin which I'm still dreaming about now some weeks later. 

The house wine is great, served in carafes of varying sizes and will admit to sitting there drinking far too many of them! The burgers and salads are super, the service is good and I loved the sense of humour from the team working there. It's too easy just to spend the entire day sitting and watching the world go by. Although it was our fault for not booking in time, the Moules-frites evenings looked fabulous, paired with excellent entertainment from Freed and an incredibly vibrant atmosphere with everybody smiling engaging, getting up and singing. Not to mention two members of staff who had phenomenal voices and also entertain the patrons. As with other venues in the village La Taverne is exceptionally popular so please do you remember to book a few days in advance to avoid any disappointment. I look forward to this being one of many village venues when we finally buy a second home in Saint-Cyprien
