My partner and I came for lunch on Tuesday the 12th.
We booked our table as soon as we arrived in Saint-Guilhem and were greeted by a smiling and welcoming woman.
When we were seated, we were warmly and cheerfully served by a waiter who was just as friendly as his colleague from that morning.
We ordered the bull stew with potatoes, which was delicious—perfectly cooked and seasoned.
The sauce was so good that we mopped up the leftovers with bread! The fromage blanc with honey, which might seem simple, was also very tasty, comforting, and the perfect way to end the meal on a light yet nostalgic note.
In short, we had a wonderful time and we won't hesitate to return if we come back to Saint-Guilhem! Thank you so much!

Hello, I'm just giving my opinion on the restaurant. The "bull" dish was good, but was it really bull meat?
The thin galette was good but sparsely filled.
We were there in May, and it wasn't busy.
However, cleanliness needs improvement: towels were left on the floor, and the restrooms are in serious need of renovation.

I highly recommend this restaurant; it's great and well-located. We were served very quickly, and the dishes were delicious and generous (bull stew and roasted Camembert). The desserts were just as good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming!

Excellent experience! I ate there with my partner and we had a truly wonderful time. The food is delicious, the dishes are appetizing, beautifully presented, and above all, generous—you definitely get your money's worth.
The service is top-notch: warm, attentive, and professional. You feel comfortable from beginning to end, with efficient and reliable service.

While visiting Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, I stumbled upon this restaurant, La Taverne de l'Escuelle. Lovely decor, very good food at reasonable prices, friendly and attentive staff. I highly recommend this restaurant! 👍
