La Taverne de Novi sur Saint-Nabord

After hearing numerous complaints about this restaurant, we wanted to see for ourselves. We were greeted by two very friendly waitresses, we enjoyed our meal on a beautifully furnished terrace, and the interior of the restaurant seemed just as welcoming. We chose foie gras, a reimagined cordon bleu-style escalope with an excellent sauce. As a pastry chef by trade, I'm always a little apprehensive about restaurant desserts, but I was pleasantly surprised: a panna cotta with a texture that was neither too firm nor too runny, bursting with vanilla bean, and a truly delicious floating island. And I must emphasize the impeccable service and the genuinely friendly staff. All this for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be back. We hope this review offers you some comfort during a time when customers and Google reviews are becoming an additional source of stress in our wonderful professions.

A very good lunchtime experience: - There's plenty of choice: set menu, à la carte, or pizza (very, very good), and a good selection of desserts (the "café gourmand" is generous). - A very warm welcome from the owner and the rest of the staff. - Lots of regulars at lunchtime that day, a relaxed atmosphere: if the locals keep coming back, it's because the quality is consistent. We came by chance, as it's near the radiology center, but we didn't regret it at all, quite the opposite. We highly recommend it.

It's always a real pleasure to go to Novi. The food is excellent, the waitresses and waiters are pleasant, and the owner is very welcoming and attentive. We eat at Novi regularly and are never disappointed, and when we don't feel like going out, we get takeout or pizza. Don't change a thing, everything is perfect.
