La Taverne de Riunogies sur Maureillas-Las-Illas

End-of-year meal for a hiking group. Simple but very good and hearty meal. Really good, don't hesitate to go inside; it's more inviting than the outside, hidden in the vegetation.

A restaurant that's a bit of a trek, taking the little road that leads there, but it's worth it. Everything is excellent and homemade. The owner is very friendly. It's what you might call a hole-in-the-wall, but this is definitely a hole-in-the-wall. Go see for yourself; it's inexpensive and very generous portions, not to mention the magnificent view. 15/11/2025

A discovery made in the evening and at night... Very warm welcome, service a little too fast. Excellent pares. For a daytime visit, the setting must be magnificent.

5 stars for the overall package. The proprietor was especially pleased that my husband ordered an authentic Catalan dish, which was truly delicious: rabbit with snails. The sangria was very spicy. The dessert (orange cake and chocolate cake) All in all, it was very strange. Since the weather was very bad, it was obvious that we were the only ones who had wandered into this remote place. We were early, but the proprietor called us in, saying he was already there. After we had eaten, he changed and locked the door. It was a special evening. 😅😅😅

Great restaurant in an inn, authentic cuisine, especially reserved, worth the detour.
