A lovely dining room, well-spaced tables, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a limited selection, but everything is excellent. The hummus amuse-bouche is very light, the snails in their casserole are perfectly buttery and cooked to perfection. The beef cheek is divine, and even the accompanying mashed potatoes are delicious. The desserts are equally impressive: the rice pudding and the revisited lemon tart are perfect—a pleasant surprise. Only the wines (local, of course) seemed a little weak (we tasted three different ones). Let's just say we've had better in Beaujolais, especially since they were served a bit too chilled. But overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time. The €42 set menu (starter/main/dessert) is easily worth it. We skipped the cheese course, which was only €4 more, but that would have been too much. We highly recommend it.

An absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt effortlessly elegant — warm lighting, fantastic classic French decoration and that unmistakable hum of a proper French dining room.
The 72 hour slow cooked ox cheeks were exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of depth and balance. The sauces were refined and beautifully executed, elevating the ingredients without overpowering them. It felt like proper French cooking done with confidence and care.
A special mention has to go to the wine. We chose the Cardonous Rex White Burgundy, and it was outstanding — beautifully balanced with bright citrus, subtle oak, and that classic mineral backbone you want from a good Burgundy. It was served at the perfect temperature and paired brilliantly with the Coq au vin.The wine list overall is clearly curated with real thought and quality in mind. I also order a couple of glasses of the Domaine de la Cave Lamartine Beaujolais Saint Amour 'Vers L'Eglise', which complemented the Ox cheeks nicely.
Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm.
Exceptional food, exceptional wine, and a setting that makes you want to stay all evening. We’ll definitely be back.

We received a wonderful welcome upon arrival from a smiling and bubbly person.
We ordered the two vegetarian dishes and a lemon tart, which were both delicious. The weather wasn't great, but we were able to eat by the fire – pure bliss!

We left the restaurant with mixed feelings.
The service was rather peculiar: the welcome wasn't warm at all, they didn't offer us water, and they made it clear we shouldn't linger too long because the kitchen closes at 9 pm.
The dishes were good (the rooster and the poultry were delicious), but when the menu specifies "vegetables" and you're served a miniature carrot and a 2cm² piece of leek, it's a bit disappointing. Similarly, the €11 cheese plate was meager (not even a walnut, a lettuce leaf, or a small chutney to garnish it): four tiny pieces of cheese.
As for the ambiance, the background music was very chic, but it clashed with the very basic decor. On the other hand, the restrooms were very clean.
In short, we found the meal expensive for what we ate (nearly €130 for a set menu + one main course + cheese + wine). We do not particularly recommend it.

Everything was perfect. The service, the food, the recommendations. I had the beef cheek, slow-cooked for 72 hours, which was absolutely delicious. It was served with real country bread, not a mass-produced baguette. The waitress was smiling and attentive.

The initial welcome was quite cold, and we almost left, but after breaking the ice, we were seated and had a very good meal. It's a shame because, apart from the initial reception, the service was excellent afterwards, and the quality of the food was top-notch. I would still recommend it, though, as it might have been a matter of personal preference or bad timing, since we arrived late due to traffic (but we did let them know we were going to be late to make sure we didn't arrive to find a closed door).
