Really lovely food and staff. Excellent quality and decent value. You'll need to know a bit of French to make the most of it but that's fine as you are in France after all!

Were it not for a table of eight ill-mannered and noisy English diners, we would have loved this fabulous dinner, which deserves a Michelin star! Perfect service, impeccable and smiling staff, and a very reasonably priced set menu (starter, main course, dessert). The eggs meurette were perfect, the coq au vin and chicken supreme with morels were delicious, and the lemon tart was excellent, all accompanied by well-chosen wines by the glass thanks to the recommendations of our maître d'hôtel. A wonderful discovery and a desire to return as soon as possible. Bravo to the team!

We were already unfamiliar with Beaujolais, which lives up to its nickname of the French Tuscany, but then a small village restaurant that becomes an excellent gastronomic detour, it has everything… The expertise, the atmosphere, the wine advice and above all the pleasure of being there, I recommend it and we will return, but for a multi-day package on the wine route.

Le Coq combines traditional French flavours with delightful service a more than delicious new techniques and dishes. My husband and I dined here 4 times during our week we spent in Juliénas, I think that says enough. Thanks so much for the great experience! See you next year :) Bisous, Fay & Ayrton.

Le Coq provides an amazing example of the traditional French kitchen combined with great service.
The ladies are cheerful and happy to assist in making your choice. All the food is amazing, in looks as well as flavour.
My wife and I have had a great time at Le Coq. We've been here for dinner 4 out of 6 nights, because we enjoyed the food and the service so much.
