Warm and welcoming staff, clean, large, quiet and well decorated room. However, the spa bath was not functional. Breakfast with choice and good taste. Top notch service.

We booked a room for a romantic night with a Wonderbox that was offered to us. I send an email to reserve the room for one night, from Sunday to Monday. I got a response quickly telling me that this has been taken into account and that I will have to call the next day to finalize the reservation. Error on my part, I sent an email to reserve the night from Saturday to Sunday and they responded to me again quickly to tell me that this was taken into account. When I called the next day, I was told that no reservation had been made, that it must have been forgotten. We therefore finalize the reservation by telephone and I am told that since I want the suite with sauna and balneotherapy, I will have to pay a supplement of 75e for the room but telling me that the bathtub is functional but not the balneotherapy for reasons of safety. maintenance. Not having a confirmation email, I called back at the beginning of the week. I am told that a reservation was indeed made but for the night from Sunday to Monday.... another error. This is starting to do a lot. When we arrive on Saturday, I pay the supplement with tourist tax to have the Merlin suite. I ask if the spa is functional and if the sauna works. I am told that the spa has not been repaired and that the sauna does not work? I then request a refund for the room, I am not coming to take a suite with sauna and jacuzzi so as not to have either of the 2 services. We came to the base for this and drove 1h30 just for these services. Anyway, finally the lady at reception makes some phone calls and we tell her that the sauna is working. Okay, perfect. We continue... We climb into our room and indeed, very pretty suite, functional sauna, original side of a blanket and "fur" curtains, nice little living room with special mention for the 2 flower-shaped armchairs. Despite this, some room finishes are not great. For a suite at 160 euros normally I find it excessive. One of the taps in the bathroom only flowed very little and it was impossible to get cold water, while the other one squirted everywhere because it was full of limescale. We still took a bath even if not a spa. I run it and to my great surprise when I arrive in the bathroom: the water is cold... actually I think there is a problem with the boiler and the hot water only flows once. times out of 2. Be careful of the heating and fridge which go off in the middle of the night and make noise... BUT big positive point on the other hand: QUIET, despite the location in the city center. Very pleasant! Absolute silence. The next day, nice and varied breakfast, good products, and the lady at the reception was very friendly. So I think in the end the price could be justified if everything was functional and 100% perfect. Small feeling that the establishment is falling into disuse, which is a shame because it could be a very nice hotel. The interior decor is also very pretty.

Hôtel bien situé, au calme non loin du centre. Chambre spacieuse et bien agencée. Réceptionniste accueillante.

Nous avons passé deux nuit à l’hôtel, la personne de la réception qui est présente le soir est d’une grande gentillesse, serviable et très professionnelle. La personne a la réception en journée jeudi était aussi aimable qu’une porte de prison et semblé agacé que je la sollicite pendant qu’elle manger à l’arrière de la réception, elle m’a ensuite envoyé sur les rose car je lui demander de faire passer la femme de ménage dans notre chambre. Heureusement que les autre collègue était d’une grande amabilité.

10€ pour un petit chien, c'est abusé..

Je ne suis pas de la région mais pour raisons professionnelles je séjourne régulièrement sur Douai et ce depuis plus de 2 ans. Je ne connaissais pas La Terrasse et j'ai instantanément été sous le charme ! Selom m'a réservé un excellent accueil , ce que l'on attend lorsque l'on arrive de nuit dans un lieu inconnu, la disponibilité, le sourire et le petit plus, un bref échange qui met tout de suite à l'aise. Une très jolie chambre, propre et bien équipée, qui change des "chaînes d'hôtels insipides et sans âme". Un hôtel en ville, mais une nuit aussi calme qu'à la campagne. L'accueil du matin est emprunt du même professionnalisme que celui de la veille, un petit déjeuner de qualité dans un très joli cadre . Je RECOMMANDE VIVEMENT !
