A delightful discovery during a stop in Lamballe. Slow-cooked pork ribs were a real treat. Simple cuisine, seasonal and local produce, all at a very reasonable price. The owners are passionate and dedicated to the quality of their ingredients. A truly excellent place.

Warm and efficient service. A concise menu featuring homemade dishes (including a vegetarian option) prepared with local and seasonal produce, an excellent wine selection, all in a unique setting. Very good value for money. This was our second visit and we will gladly return ;-) Remember to book ahead as it is very often full.

The waiter was very attentive, pleasant, smiling and warm. The products were of good quality, the preparation was precise and the dishes were well-balanced.

Very simple and refined cuisine

We discovered this restaurant by chance while browsing the Thursday market in Lamballe, and we highly recommend it. We ate on the terrace, which remained shaded and cool despite the heatwave. The setting was charming (the Place du Martray with its medieval houses), and the welcome was very warm. The cuisine may seem simple (pork ribs, duck confit, served with fries and red cabbage), but the preparation made everything delicious. The wine list is well-chosen, and we received excellent advice (our simple carafe of Minervois was fabulous). The icing on the cake was the very good value for money. A truly excellent surprise.

We thoroughly enjoyed La Tête Noire, which offers quality home-style cooking, including a melt-in-your-mouth pork rib served with homemade fries and a delicious green tea panna cotta; it was a real treat at a very reasonable price. The owner is very friendly and welcoming.

I don't think I've ever eaten so well in a restaurant! The flavors, the cooking, the side dishes—everything was incredible! Personally, I absolutely loved your new variety of fries!! Definitely something to keep on the menu. The welcome was warm, the place unique. Our compliments to the chef 🎉 A huge bonus for the baby changing table in the restrooms—THANK YOU for the parents (and babies). We will definitely be back and we'll tell everyone about it!
