La Tour d'Auvergne sur Sedan

With our hotel room reservation, we had evening meals in this restaurant. The first evening we followed the chef's suggestion: delicious The second evening my companion again followed the chef's proposal while I took another proposal: and again delicious. The dining room is cozy, tastefully but simply decorated. The atmosphere is cozy. The service is excellent with servers who know their job and customers very quickly. My partner and I enjoyed this moment with relish. How can we really describe this taste experience which in fact must be experienced in real life. My opinion: go for it!!

Very beautiful room, in a very medieval setting, it's really beautiful, the service with the waiters in uniform, etc., is perfect. Unfortunately, I agree with many other comments on the quality of the dishes coming out of the kitchen... We expect a lot with this menu, this room, this service and this promise of a gourmet dish made by a chef... Unfortunately taste-wise, it's very average... to describe my dissatisfaction: overcooked salmon, hard and tasteless reconstituted potato, hard carrots, tasteless lamb shank, starter (mimosa-style quail egg) also tasteless , poorly balanced dessert in terms of acidity and sugar... A disappointment and total incomprehension because everything else is perfect except... the main thing, the taste (some good little restaurants in the region produce dishes that are far superior in terms of taste). I'm sorry to say that but the dishes are very lacking of mastery, except if the chef takes out his dishes, it is because he considers them to be perfect in every way... Perhaps we should see a restaurant menu a range below but better controlled. The prices are correct for the half-board options, for the à la carte dishes... considering the mastery of the kitchen it is a little expensive. That said the dishes are very beautiful, nothing to say about the presentation, it's superb, a big effort on the taste and it will be perfect! I still recommend the restaurant, hoping that my comment will be taken into account by the chef.

We had a great time as a family at the restaurant. There were 2 very large tables, however the service was done at a good pace. The acoustics of the room are not ideal for people who don't like noise (there is an echo when there are people), but we were not inconvenienced by it. The dishes served this evening were all very well executed.

The service was long, 1 hour 30 minutes waiting for the starter, then 30 minutes between the starter and the main course. The dishes were excellent except for the dessert called "Chocolate Pizza" there wasn't even a piece of chocolate, I didn't understand. The staff were adorable.

Very well eaten. Quiet restaurant and good staff.

Excellent experience in terms of cuisine, service and wine advice. We highly recommend the chef for his cuisine as well as the team for making our dinner very enjoyable. See you soon !

De très bons ingrédients mais la finition manque de précision. Le riz de veau n’était pas bien nettoyé et pas assez cuit , le filet de bœuf était délicieux mais la sauce également excellente était donnée avec parcimonie, sans doute pour la beauté du plat . Bref , un très bon menu mais dont quelques détails peuvent améliorer l’ensemble. Service un peu lent mais aimable
