Absolutely beautiful traditional French resturant. The decor was homely, staff were attentive and the food was amazing. The steak and duck fat chips are not to be missed. I would highly recommend a visit when in Bordeaux. Booking required.

Excellent value for money. The macaroni and lamprey are a must-try. Don't forget to order the Armagnac sorbet for a good nap.

A beautiful local establishment, staying true the Bordelaise cooking traditions. A fantastic open fire cooking area which also added atmosphere. Friendly knowledgeable staff who answered any menu queries enthusiasticly. Food was absolutely fantastic. A must go to if you visit Bordeaux

This restaurant is a Bordeaux institution. The meal was excellent. The chateaubriand with Bordelaise sauce was incredible. The food is cooked over an open fire. I highly recommend this establishment.

Honestly, it felt like I was at home in Puglia! I absolutely loved this restaurant, from the fireplace at the entrance to the ambiance and atmosphere. The staff were incredibly pleasant and kind. Thank you, François, for serving and advising us; we were truly delighted and satisfied. We called at the last minute, and there were eight of us, including a stroller, dining in a private room right in front of the wonderful wine cellar! I have nothing negative to say. Perhaps the only thing is that I don't leave too much space between the tables, either for strollers or wheelchairs. But otherwise, it was fantastic 👍🏼 and steeped in history!

We had dinner at La Tupina one weekend evening after a stroll through the neighborhood. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere very friendly. The dining room is clean and you can feel the authentic feel of the place. The dishes were generous and full of flavor. We had a wonderful time at the table; I highly recommend it. 🍽️

Ideal spot for grilled meat. The fireplace is visible. The restaurant is an old building and very quaint. Close to Saint-Michel and the Capuchin market.
