We arrived full of hope, seeing the menu displayed in the street; we left disappointed, abandoning our last illusions: homemade croutons, homemade fried onions, homemade gingerbread? The foie gras was good: no complaints there. €20 for the inn's salad is overpriced. For that price, you can get a starter, main course, and dessert elsewhere.

A true Proustian madeleine, Katia's cuisine is both simple and refined. The menus are crafted with the desire to please and delight our taste buds and souls, and that makes all the difference 🥰 Franck, chic and relaxed, welcomes us with humor and sincerity. He takes excellent care of us throughout the entire meal 🙂 Their mother and the little dog make sure everything runs smoothly 😉 Can't wait to return to Barbezieux to experience this haven of kindness again 🤗

Dishes prepared with quality ingredients. The owners are very welcoming and provide attentive service. What's more, this is a great place, open on Sundays and even holidays, which is very convenient for family outings.

18/02/2026: A rather mixed experience. However, the welcome was very good. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, both for dinner service and at reception. Regarding the room, I found the cleaning to be lacking, with a lot of hair on the floor. In the bathroom, the bin hadn't been emptied, there were marks on the toilet seat, and the bed had been made haphazardly, barely tucked in. However, the bedding was quite good and firm. As for the meals, since I was on a business package, dinner was very good and a good portion. It's still good value for money, but I really think they should pay attention to the cleanliness of the room.
16/02/2026: A delightful surprise! Attentive service. A truly delicious and generous dish. Superb bread. Clean dining room and new furniture.
