Second dinner at the old forge in Mesquer in two weeks.
Just as enjoyable as the first time. The dishes are delicious and presented with remarkable artistic flair.

We loved the warm welcome, the meal, and the friendly, simple service at La Vieille Forge. The cuisine is inventive and flavorful, using fresh, high-quality ingredients, beautifully balanced with spices, herbs, and vegetables. A true pleasure to return to as soon as possible.

We were looking forward to coming to the old forge - an establishment we regularly pass by - We were stunned by the room - rather dreary and unremarkable, certainly not worthy of a gastronomic establishment - Fortunately, the dinner was excellent but I am not sure we will return.

A very ambitious kitchen in a former blacksmith's shop. The amuse-bouche, however, was disappointing; in my opinion, the combination of cauliflower and curry lacked flavor. The lobster and tomato appetizer also felt somewhat unbalanced to me. The lobster was excellent, but the vegetables were bland and soft. In contrast, the skate with artichoke was superb, as was the fillet in pepper sauce. The dessert was a revelation: playful, light, and expertly crafted. The wine recommendations were outstanding and paired perfectly with the food. The service was charming and helpful, though the timing could be improved. Overall, a very good restaurant, reasonably priced, and well worth a visit.

We booked the entire restaurant for a private family meal and were captivated by the Old Forge room.
The dishes were all delicious, original, and bursting with flavor, served with excellent wines.
The service was impeccable and discreet. A truly wonderful place.
