Une auberge à l'ancienne telle qu'on en trouve plus. Un service attentionné dans un cadre un peu désuet. Une cuisine de très grande qualité basée sur de bon produit. Viandes et légumes sont parfaitement cuits et remplis de saveur. Cela a été un régal. Je recommande chaudement.

A fantastic experience, without a doubt the best of our Alsatian tour. The cuisine, as well as the environment, is decidedly familiar. From the moment you enter the restaurant it feels like you are welcomed into the dining room of the family who runs the place. The warmth and simplicity are an added value of the evening. The managers only speak French, but for us Italians they did everything to make us understand each other and from the vast menu written on a blackboard, for the simple reason that it varies daily based on the availability of fresh raw materials, we were able to have a idea of ​​how dominant the territory was in their preparations. I had a superlative homemade foie gras as a starter accompanied by a sort of sublime onion and date compote. I think the best I've ever eaten. I then continued with a dish I had never tried before: a sausage with tripe inside called andouillette! There are very few producers of this product which is a specialty of Troyes and which is safeguarded and protected in order to recognize its originality and quality. Simply fabulous and hard to describe! I would say a tripe sausage. I then finished with a taste of truly delicious Munster cheese. My partner started with a cold courgette soup with crab claws and summer truffle, truly delicious, and then continued with a sea bream served with vegetables and finally closed with a dessert based on peach and ice cream. The wine that accompanied us this evening was a 2019 pure Alsatian Pinot Noir from Kientzler which they served us rather cold. I have to be honest that I don't like red wines served cold even in summer, but if there really has to be one that I can appreciate, it's Pinot Noir, so better at room temperature, but also ok if served cold. Very good indeed. Super recommended place

Small restaurant at the top. The fact that there are not many tables allows you to be pampered and feel at home. Homemade dishes made with love are delicious. We really liked it and will come back soon. And the ice cream is killer Thank you again for this divine meal.

Down-to-earth food perfectly prepared. You feel like you're at grandma's house. Hosts very friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

06/04/2024: Two people, one vegetarian. We asked for one tasting menu, one three courses, as there as only one veg starter and one veg main which, after checking with the chef, was okay, which was nice. Although it is still unfortunate to do menus only per table and not per cover. The food, sadly, was underwhelming. Not bad, but the tastes were fairly flat and unbalanced. The foie gras was surprisingly bland, the fish that was described as both a cod and a catfish was underseasoned and uninventive. The pigeon was cooked perfectly, the condiments and purees that complimented it were old fashioned but nice. The main vegetarian course which was just mixed veg in an unidentifiable vinegar sauce was very unappetizing. The wine accompaniment was hard to understand: 6 courses of food but only 4 wines. None of the wines really seemed to have been matched with the food, especially the white that was meant to accompany two courses. The maître was visibly unhappy with one of us not eating meat, the two waiters spoke virtually no English and seemed semi-professional. For some reason they played Christmas-jazz-music in April. All in all disappointing. But not completely bad.
26/03/2024: Positive points: restaurant open on Tuesday - service, very good dish and dessert - Negative points: the room a little too noisy (and there is a smell of cold ashtrays when entering the restaurant), the very limited menu at lunchtime, the starter too salty, Half-hearted experience. To be tested again in the evening.
