Pleasant service, although the dining room could benefit from some acoustic panels to facilitate conversations during business lunches. The Americano was excellent (and yes, many restaurateurs don't know how to make it). The baked egg with foie gras and the squid fricassee with chorizo ​​were delicious. Generally, when you see "Master Restaurateur," you know you're going to eat well, because they generally know their products and do their job with passion. And Villa Mondénard is no exception to this principle! The clear menu offers local products that you'd expect to find in the region, at very reasonable prices. The daily menu (€13.50, starter + main course or main course + dessert, or €15.50, starter + main course + dessert) offers quality dishes, created with respect for the ingredients and showcasing them, whether they're "classics" or "simple." We thoroughly enjoyed the eggs cocotte with porcini mushrooms (extra charge) and the beef steak with béarnaise or pepper sauce (both homemade), served with perfect homemade fries and salad (also extra charge, but the quality of the meat and the size of the steak justify it). As for the tiramisu offered for dessert, it's one of the best I've ever eaten!!! The waitresses who greeted and served us never wavered in their kindness and smiles, despite the restaurant being very full. In St-André, I think it will become one of our go-to places for our future stays in the region. Come discover local products in a beautiful setting, cozy but not ostentatious. Foodies and gourmets alike will have a wonderful time, that's for sure!
