Pleasant place, quiet atmosphere and good food. I received good service and the experience was positive. I just think that some details in the service and presentation could be improved to make it perfect. Overall, I recommend it.

Following a recommendation from a fellow walker, we went into this small, simple but welcoming restaurant. We received a very warm welcome; it was quite busy, but we waited patiently. The meal was excellent; we were pleasantly surprised by the food, everything was delicious. I chose a glass of white wine from the Charentes region, which was excellent—a little dry yet also slightly fruity. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Rochefort. Thank you to all the staff. Annie

A warm and friendly welcome, as well as excellent service. Generous, simple, and delicious home-style cooking. Very good value for money. I highly recommend it.

I went there for the first time not long ago and honestly, I'll definitely be back! The food is great, and the owners are fantastic! It feels like stepping into a charming old-fashioned bistro; I absolutely love it!!

22/04/2026: Hello, I'm giving 5 stars because I had a great time and the food was really good. The service (although the staff were young) was very good and pleasant. However, there were two very negative points. Perhaps I should have mentioned them that evening. The waiter (the one wearing glasses) had very dirty fingernails. It's a shame because he was very professional, pleasant, and helpful. Secondly, the waitress (the one with dark glasses) told me she was very direct. When I asked her what the raspberry surprise was, she replied, "It's not a surprise, it's just chocolate and raspberries, nothing extraordinary." I didn't appreciate her approach and told her it was perhaps a bit blunt. She replied, "That's just how I am." So be it, I didn't order dessert; it didn't appeal to me.
