La Villette sur Rochefort

A wonderful discovery! Warm welcome, generous and delicious portions. We highly recommend it.

We arrived around 1 p.m. La Villette was packed. We asked for a table and were told yes, inside, no problem for us. We hardly had to wait before they brought us a carafe of water and took our order. The manager, who we imagined to be very pleasant and cheerful, was taken by us. If you don't know where to have lunch, don't hesitate to go to La Villette. The meal was very good, well-portioned, and for €19.50, frankly, you shouldn't miss out.

Helpful and accommodating with scheduling for a visit to Pierre Loti's house, and even more accommodating with making a vegetarian burger. Professional, in short, go there, great brasserie!

We had a wonderful time at La Villette restaurant. Having booked at 10 am for lunch (as there were eight of us – four adults and four children, including one in a stroller and one in a high chair, which were provided), we were seated outside. The food was excellent, even the children's menu items. A special mention goes to the Chef's Punch.

A friendly, family atmosphere. We started with excellent homemade tuna rillettes, followed by mussels and fries paired with a delicious white wine from the Charente region. Reasonable prices. We'll be back.
