L'Abbaye sur Leobard

The village and the abbey are lovely.

Beautiful abbey! But unfortunately, walking around the grounds is not allowed. If you walk up along the side, you can look over the low wall. Guided tours are available on certain days.

Unfortunately, it was closed and there was little explanation on the information board.

Visible from the road, the charming hamlet, perfect for exploring on foot, and the impressive remains of the Cistercian abbey are well worth a visit. It's a shame there's no historical information about the site, even though the panels recounting the villagers' stories are very interesting. Definitely worth discovering in July during the "Joutes and Troubadours" festival! 😉

It's a shame the church isn't open to visitors.
