Very kind lady from Gondar. You get typical Ethiopian hospitality and food in the heart of Paris.

Lake Tana, Ethiopian restaurant, a gem! Very warm welcome, totally home cooking! Beyaynnatou, a typical dish, served on an injera, a large pancake made with Teff flour, covered with different vegetable specialties, meat or fish or not, very fragrant, a dish that takes you on a journey, you eat it with your hands... divine ! Ketifo is a bit like a beef tartare with very mild spices, delicious! And many other specialties to taste without moderation... don't forget the chocolate cake, fragrant, very soft and light, a treat! And of course the Ethiopian coffee, typical, dense, tasty and the ceremony… Go there without delay and like me you will return there!!

Top. I went there several years ago with two different friends. Superb service. I ordered a dish with a little bit of everything on it. All on a large teff pancake. We even had the right to extra patties to better finish the meat... The waiter explained the dishes to us. The way of eating. (by hand) Always smiling. And I even think it's someone from the family who is in the kitchen. I don't know anymore if it's the mother or the grandmother. Because it's been a while. We came as a duo. And you come out absolutely full. Recommended if you want to introduce a loved one to one of the specialties of Africa. I say one because there are so many coming from this beautiful continent. It was a real treat.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante etiope con mio marito una sera a cena. L'ambiente estremamente informale e familiare ci ha attirati all'interno. Abbiamo ordinato dei buoni piatti tipici, serviti su un letto di njeera e il tutto rigosoramente da gustare senza posate. Consiglierei per una cena alternativa e totalmente fedele alla tradizione abissina; esperienza senza fronzoli. I proprietari, benche' comunichino a fatica in francese e inglese, sono carisnissimi.

Delicious and very tasty food if you like spices. The staff is a little slow but friendly, the place doesn't have much charm but the food is worth it.
