L'Agachon sur Arles

Lunch break on a long drive...and what a meal it was! We ordered two salads, a Caesar and an octopus salad. The octopus was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and wonderfully complemented by the vegetables. And the fried chicken was also perfectly cooked, wonderfully moist, not at all dry, with a very crispy coating and fresh, well-balanced ingredients. For two people with hearty appetites, we were more than satisfied with these rather generous salads. I should add that the staff was lovely, which was a nice bonus!

The Agachon restaurant on the road to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is well-located. The welcome was fantastic! We had two grilled cuttlefish – absolutely delicious! 👍🙂 The service was quick, and the homemade desserts were amazing. I highly recommend stopping by. You can come at 2 pm and they'll serve you at your table. There's a shaded terrace and an air-conditioned dining room. Thank you, Agachon! See you soon! 🙂👍

A pleasant surprise at this unpretentious restaurant, where the food and service are top-notch! Excellent value for money, a friendly, family atmosphere, and a very warm welcome despite our late arrival.

We made a quick stop on our way to my dad's for lunch. We always stop there for a drink, but this time we actually ate. We received a very warm welcome, and the meal was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Don't be fooled by first impressions! Located by the roadside, with its gas station, bar/tobacconist, restaurant, and even a greengrocer, you might initially wonder what you've stumbled into… then you discover an authentic place. The welcome is warm, the atmosphere is friendly and local, and you quickly feel right at home. The room is simple but comfortable, with just what you need for a good night's sleep. We highly recommend it!

A very nice place offering excellent local produce; I loved the Daube de Taureau. Parking available.

We just had an excellent bull stew there! Don't hesitate to stop by.

We stopped for a drink and received a very warm welcome. Quick service and lots of humor.

On the road to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, we found a restaurant with very pleasant service and delicious, generous portions of food. We enjoyed a large bull tartare—absolutely amazing! 🤪 It was served with fries cooked in beef fat (not even greasy) and a green salad. We were eyeing the large slices of homemade dessert, but unfortunately, we were too full. Thank you for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back!
