L'AGAPE sur Avignon

A truly excellent discovery! We were extremely pleased with our meal at L’Agape, which is undoubtedly among the best cuisines we have ever tasted. Everything was refined, delicate, and perfectly conceived. The flavor combinations were sophisticated without being overpowering, the cooking techniques and pairings were masterful, and the presentation was as elegant as it was beautiful. The service was also very pleasant, attentive, and warm. We are already looking forward to returning to discover the seasonal dishes! If we had to point out one small area for improvement, it would be the portion sizes. The portions are quite small. This works very well with the 7-course menu, but with the 3-course menu, we were unfortunately left wanting more. And that's almost a shame, because when the food is this good, you wish you could savor it a little longer! A truly wonderful restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend!

In the jungle of French restaurants, L'Agape in Avignon's old town is a shining star! We had the 5-course tasting menu and savored every single course! The amuse-bouche was impressive, featuring grapefruit sauce and trout! Each subsequent course was in perfect harmony between the freshness of the ingredients and the flavor pairing: the sauce with the egg, the black garlic cream with the fish, the vanilla emulsion with the baba… but the winner of the menu was the pigeon: with foie gras and Jerusalem artichoke, meltingly tender yet crispy… The service, the processes, the seamless handover during service, the friendly demeanor, and especially the pauses between courses were impeccable! The location is superb. Dining here is a true delight and a pleasure!

Lunch with the daily special. Very good. Both the dish (saddle of lamb) and the service.

Relatively acceptable meal at a decent price. Dining on Saturday night makes it more difficult given the crowd sizes and one person to attend to every task except taking the drink order and table runners Veal was average and sea bream was a good price of fish properly cooked but otherwise forgettable. Dessert was the best part. OK if you need a place to eat but not more than average

I visited for dinner. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered the main course à la carte, and both were delicious. It definitely deserves its Bib Gourmand designation.

We were delighted to discover this restaurant, which offers dishes with such flavor and beautiful presentation! The trout ceviche was a real treat. We loved the combination of different flavors (especially the fennel in all its forms), and the ingredients used were of very high quality. However, the portions weren't huge, which is a shame when it's such a delicious meal. The first set menu at €41 is reasonable for the quality of the food. The servers were friendly and explained the dishes clearly. We will definitely be back! 😀

On a beautiful square in Avignon. We sat outside and had the 3 course lunch, along with some excellent house wine. A very reasonable price for the quality and experience.

We didn't have reservations but we arrived about 15 mins prior to opening and we were able to get a table outside. Lovely setting, friendly waitstaff. Our food was all solid - I ordered the Sea Bass and my husband ordered Beef with Foie Gras.

Excellent, delicious meal, everything is cooked with real expertise, I recommend it 100%.
