A really great restaurant that I hadn't tried before.
Everything is delicious: the accras, the ham hock with Munster cheese, and the blueberry ice cream.
The staff is incredibly kind, it has to be said.

The braised ham hock, undoubtedly the house signature dish. So generous, I thought I was being served a whole wild boar! Accompanied by its Munster cheese sauce... it was amazing! The cooking time (four hours) was just perfect. The meat was meltingly tender and delicious. We loved the waitresses, who were like hostesses. Simple and kind... simply the best! Very reasonable prices considering the quality... and the quantity. A sure bet for those who appreciate good, hearty food. We'll be back to try the rest of the menu, which looks very promising.

We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent cuisine, which was very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity.
We understood why the adjective "famous" was written on the chalkboard next to the braised ham hock (a real treat!). There are restaurants where you eat well, and then leave and immediately move on to something else. As for this one, the meal stayed with us for a while, and we were still talking about it after we left. We were ecstatic!
We would like to highlight the friendliness of the waiter, who was attentive and kind to the customer at the next table who, having finished his bottle of rosé alone, fell asleep at his table.
(He spoke gently to wake him up, was patient when he had trouble paying, offered him a coffee to help him wake up, and even offered to call a taxi...)
In short, the food is authentic and the staff is genuinely kind. We give it a 20/20 rating and highly recommend it!

A ham hock with Munster cheese sauce... it's hearty, yet melts in your mouth, but the sauce makes the meat so tempting you could eat it endlessly, without ever feeling hungry. You can even ask for more sauce. And before that, there are the cod fritters; it's really rare to find fritters this flavorful, crispy on the outside and meltingly soft on the inside. Most of the time, they're oily and overdone, but these are perfect. And then there's the rum baba, with a touch of coconut in the whipped cream. The whipped cream is amazing, but the baba is a veritable fortress! I didn't order that; after the ham hock, you can imagine, I was craving a break. So I opted for an Alsatian palate cleanser, plum brandy, and a raspberry scoop. I was in heaven. At the counter, someone—Kaine—explained to me that cooking should be simple. I agree. When does the internship start?
I'll conclude with a word about the service: energetic and attentive, almost touching.

A wonderful discovery by chance. An Alsatian menu in Vannes, in a lovely atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed a tarte flambée and an exceptional rum baba.
