L'Anecdote sur Gilly-Sur-Isere

A first evening with my friends at L'Anecdote. Saturday, January 17, 2026 Everything was perfect... Homemade food, a pure delight. Very pleasant service. Perfect atmosphere... We'll be back.... The Chamberiennes....

It's a great place, very friendly. A wonderful atmosphere, and the staff are attentive. The menu is varied and delicious. Whether with family or friends, you'll have a fantastic time. I highly recommend it.

“We had a wonderful time at L’Anecdote. The welcome was warm and attentive, immediately making us feel expected and welcome. The dishes were of very high quality: carefully prepared flavors, fresh ingredients, and impeccable presentation. The atmosphere, both friendly and elegant, made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!”

Simple cuisine, limited to fries and green salad. The portions were quite generous, but the lamb shank, supposedly with thyme, was tasteless. There were few people there this Friday lunchtime (2 at a table and 3 at the bar). The service was adequate. The music was too loud, but it didn't drown out the clicking noise of a machine on the bar. For a better atmosphere, it's probably best to come in the evening.

If you like a good atmosphere and good service, visit this place.

The Halloween theme was absolutely fantastic, perfect for both kids and adults. I'll be back. You guys were amazing!

Great little restaurant. Very good atmosphere. Very generous and tasty dishes. While passing through the area, we stumbled upon it by chance and ate there two nights in a row, truly a small, unpretentious place to discover. Thanks again for the welcome, we will definitely come back.
