L'Annexe sur Vannes

While passing through Vannes we discovered this gem of a restaurant! Then heading back to Nantes, we only ordered one dish this Friday evening: pigeon for the gentleman, monkfish for me. The person taking the order warns us that we will have to wait around 40 minutes, so we have an appetizer. Incredible savory bites, fabulous skate and cauliflower appetizer, the tone was set! Cooking the monkfish, pearly to perfection, with buckwheat tartlet, pan-fried shi take and light Jerusalem artichoke puree, all enhanced with a coffee-reduced meat juice, surprising and divine, constitutes the best dish I have ever had. tasted! The pink pigeon with crispy skin and a fine celery mousse was also extraordinary! The Jamaican coffee taken to end this feast was in the same vein: the yuzu macaroons and pear fruit paste that accompanied it were stratospheric! The restaurant is also very, very cozy and the service is impeccable, attentive, discreet and extremely efficient! Many thanks for this timeless moment and the gray exterior, I will return to Vannes so that I can taste a complete menu without delay!

Finally!!!!! I went there 🤣 Valentine's Day evening with menu (86€) some will say yes even 86€ but frankly excellent menu and no regrets paying the bill when you have such perfect quality and flavors Cozy setting. Perfect welcome Taste quality just wow Can't wait to go back

Sad We really like this restaurant, we come there regularly, as a couple or with friends who come to discover Brittany. The cuisine is refined and the welcome is usually friendly. Today, however, to my request for details on a fish dish, the response "à la Bigard" was scathing and seeing my crestfallen expression the person thought it appropriate to add that I lacked humor. I am sad indeed because I saw this lady at the service pregnant, then with her baby against her, always professional and smiling. What happened today remains a mystery and my meal, although delicious, was ruined. Fortunately, Brittany is rich in talented and creative young chefs.

Refined dishes, we had a good evening

C est la deuxième fois que nous déjeunons dans ce restaurant. La cuisine est vraiment très bonne et très bien construite. Je ne suis pas un grand spécialiste mais ce chef n est pas loin du macaron Michelin. Une cuisine bien assaisonnée et surtout on retrouve les saveurs annoncées. En revanche côté service cela coince un peu et nous avons été franchement refroidi par la question de la personne qui annonce les plats. Juste avant le dessert elle est venue me demander si pour manger mon fromage, cela ne me dérangeait pas de terminer la tranche de pain qu une autre personne de notre table n avait pas terminé. Je comprends l idée du non gaspi mais enfin terminer les restes de son voisin ce n est pas terrible comme concept ! Cela ne se fait pas à mon sens et cela peut laisser sous entendre que cette personne sert parfois les tranches de pain ou le vin des autres tablées non consommés… Je sais que cette personne entendra et comprendra moins point de vue ! Maintenant allez y parce que cela est vraiment très bon !

We took our family here to enjoy a great meal and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent - creative, with an innovative blend of flavors and the presentation was lovely. Overall, we had a great experience! However, the service was slightly off - there were two servers. One of them was polite and extremely professional, the other woman was a bit unprofessional. The room was very quiet (the guests were even whispering at times), and one of the servers was speaking very loudly. She refilled our wine glasses while dripping wine everywhere (she seemed entirely unaware as she did not even clean it up). For such a nice restaurant, you would expect a bit more professionalism. However, overall we had a great experience and would definitely go back/recommend this spot for its food!

Restaurant très chic . Aliments très bien travaillés mais vraiment trop peu dans l assiette . Rien en dessous de 20 euros et on ressort avec la faim ...
