Thank you to the very professional waitress who welcomed me for lunch without a reservation. I was just passing through Gien and it was a pleasant experience. I ordered a double steak tartare, expertly prepared, accompanied by a glass of red wine, thoughtfully suggested by my hostess. Lovely setting on the banks of the Loire.

One of the few restaurants in Guen open on a Tuesday evening, and truly excellent! I ordered a bavette steak, rare on the waitress's recommendation, and oh my goodness, it was so tender and delicious! The menu is simple, everything is homemade, and everything is perfect! Well done and thank you!

A pleasant restaurant with very friendly and efficient service. The menu offers the essentials at reasonable prices. We appreciate the homemade aspect, but it's a shame the attention to detail isn't quite there: a bland sauce, a poorly set and overly sweet chocolate mousse. With a few extra touches, it would be perfect.

Go for it without hesitation, take it from a retired chef! One of my culinary mentors, Chef Joël Robuchon and Taillevent, back when he had 3 Michelin stars... Alain the Epicurean from Poitiers! 👨🍳
