Lao Tseu sur Paris

Very good Chinese restaurant but quite expensive.

A customer since I was 5 years old, visiting at least once a year. Never disappointed; the place is peaceful and the food is high quality. Simply my favorite restaurant in Paris.

Expensive Chinese restaurant for the quantity served (due to the neighborhood location), but with very good flavors and quite authentic. However, our experience was mixed due to a series of unpleasant surprises: We called in the morning to make a reservation, then when we showed up, there was no room because "someone else called to cancel." Then, the owner who took our order, while writing it down in his notebook, made a mistake on two of our dishes. Pork dumplings when we wanted shrimp, then beef satay when we wanted pepper beef. He got irritated when we pointed this out and questioned our word... I think it must have been a bad day.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality dining experience and the owner is very friendly.

It used to be a good "European-style" Chinese restaurant. The chef has changed, and the dishes have gained a lot in finesse and authenticity. A very good place.
