A customer since I was 5 years old, visiting at least once a year. Never disappointed; the place is peaceful and the food is high quality. Simply my favorite restaurant in Paris.

It's all about the presentation, the service, the white tablecloths, the plush atmosphere, but the food is disappointing. The best thing is the two scoops of ice cream, but each scoop costs €6, isn't that a bit much?

Fantastic experience at Lao Tseu. The food was truly excellent, flavorful and expertly prepared—definitely worth it. The atmosphere is pleasant, and you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. The waiter was superb, always smiling and attentive. The owner was lovely and very welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a great time and a delicious meal.

15/04/2026: I ordered the Country-Style Sautéed Eggplant with Black Soy Sauce, and it was good; the eggplant was soft and delicious. However, the dish was very greasy, and the soy sauce was overpowering, becoming a bit cloying towards the end. Surprisingly, it was a generous portion.
