L'Aquitania sur Bordeaux

Some dishes are good. We ate here 3 nights while staying at the hotel. Then tonight I ordered the rump steak. It was totally inedible and the chef’s response (through the service staff) was “it’s rump steak, it’s always tough”. Umm, then why offer it? I’m not a chef and I can cook a tender rump steak. I could barely cut the steak with a steak knife. It makes no sense. Do the French eat tough steak? My husband ate the rump last night and it was fine - different chef? Or different batch of steak? The other dishes were good - just don’t order the rump. There were only 5 offerings and only 1 steak option.

Very neutral restaurant in terms of atmosphere with too dark lighting. The cuisine is refined and the staff efficient despite once again being too neutral.

Classic cuisine but well done! Sure! Perfectly cooked salmon! As it should... tender inside A super tasty Caesar salad!!! A delight!!!
