The concept, the quality of the food, and the wine list are well worth the trip. The Michelin Guide started from the premise that they were going to list exceptional establishments that are worth traveling miles for!

Everything was perfect: the location, the hosts, the food, and the wine transported us. A delightful, timeless experience.

A truly wonderful discovery. A timeless interlude. A refined, timeless cuisine, like a tree rooted in its soil, whose flavors travel and transport us elsewhere. Excellent service. We will be back.

The food was excellent, but the service for solo diners needs improvement. I booked a table at this establishment two weeks in advance for one person. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of my expectations for a €50 menu. I was seated at a particularly narrow and unstable table. Traveling by motorcycle, my gear (especially boots) made the seating even more uncomfortable due to the glaring lack of legroom. At this price point, one expects a minimum level of comfort, which was lacking. The food itself was a positive experience. The fish starter was excellent, as was the main course combining pork and shiitake mushrooms. Only the cheese was rather unremarkable. A minor complaint also came with the flavored bottled water, which wasn't very refreshing, and the view outside, which was unfortunately obscured by tall hedges. The service was courteous. However, I was disappointed by the difference in treatment. The staff readily chatted with the other diners, while our interactions remained very brief, even though I speak fluent French. During my solo travels, and particularly this one (a 16-day trip through France, Spain, and Portugal), I've noticed that the way solo travelers are received varies considerably. While the experience is undoubtedly excellent for couples or families, it deserves to be more attentive to individual guests.
