Many restaurants are closed on Mondays, so we stumbled upon Lard et Crème.
What a pleasant surprise! A varied Alsatian menu, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and reasonable prices.

A daily special is often offered at lunchtime. The service is friendly, and reservations are recommended. The dining room is very spacious and can accommodate groups.

We were here in the evening, right after opening, as the first ones in town. We were very hungry and weren't used to the early opening hours of 7:00 pm, which is typical in France.
We had typical Alsatian tarte flambée and cordon bleu – wow, I have to say it was one of the best cordon bleu I've ever eaten. The taste was uniquely pleasant, truly incredibly delicious. Anyone who goes there and isn't vegetarian absolutely has to try it.
The two desserts, vanilla granita and aww, were a truly sweet ending. Highly recommended. The staff spoke perfect English. The service was very attentive. If you're in Strasbourg and happen to be looking down a side street, you absolutely mustn't miss this restaurant.

We had a last-minute meal, and what a treat! Without a reservation, the staff were able to set a table for us on a match night.
We were on a tight schedule, and the service was impeccable. They were attentive and quick to respond to each of our requests and orders.
As for the quality of the food, we were delighted; everything was perfect, with ample portions and even more. So much so that we were able to take our dessert and main course to go.

An Alsatian restaurant with a village atmosphere in the heart of Strasbourg. The food is delicious, especially the tarte flambée. The service is truly delightful and very welcoming! Every visit is a pure pleasure! I recommend it 100%!
