Top five meals of my life without blowing the budget. Went on a recommendation from another traveler and was not disappointed. I went with a small group of “sharers” - people who are ok to share a bite of their meals. Everyone’s dish ranged from delicious to magical. I would recommend the salmon tartare (or burrata), the peppercorn beef, and the soufflé (one of the best I’ve ever had). Dinning is tight (as expected) but service was quick, personable and friendly to non-French natives.

A great little enclave that we would go back to in a heartbeat. Nicely balanced menu and interesting wine list. I had Scorpion which was beautifully cooked and my wife had a magnificent classical boeuf bourguinon and fabulous cheese to follow.
Heartily recommend.

Recommended by my hotel, this was definitely my favourite meal during a recent stay in Paris. Quite a small venue (reservations advisable), but a haven of calm compared with some of more frantic places nearby. The food was excellent – the entrée du jour, a seafood ravioli, was a particular highlight.
We have been here a week and been fortunate to dine in some great restaurants but had been feeling they were 6/10. L’Ardoise changed that and we give it a 10/10 for delicious food and service!! Warm welcome, attentive service & such delicious food. Every dish was superb. They also have a fixed price menu which is really reasonable. Could not fault anything. Would recommend making a reservation as it was packed. Amazing!!

My wife's foie gras and scallops and my beef bourguignon were exceptional. Having dinners on each side of us could have been uncomfortable but in the end it was like sharing a table in the Grand Dining room on Marina with folks you never met before. The Sancerre wine was very good. I still can't get used to dinner taking 2 hours. It isn't inexpensive with entrees €32, starters €8, and deserts €8. But the food was great.

Small, intimate restaurant with excellent dishes, original and contemporary, that are not cheap, but deliver the price in flavor. I strongly recommend.

Edit: ended up having food poisoning for two nights from eating the beef here. Will never come back to this place again
The old lady waitress was quite bad and rude, she should be fired and replaced and the restaurant would improve.
The food was decent, we had the beef bourguignon and scallops.
