A magnificent discovery following a family invitation. Menu of the gourmet restaurant “Jour de fête”. A delight for the taste buds and a delight for the eyes! A stop for lunch on my way. In the room on the right as you enter. Choice, dishes made with good seasonal products. Copious and well presented plates for a very reasonable price. A very professional young waiter. Well done If I pass by there again I will happily stop there again.

Looking for a good restaurant, we set our sights on L'Argentière. What a surprise for us, gourmet cuisine at absolutely not astronomical prices. Smiling welcome, subdued and warm atmosphere, the dishes are rich and delicious as soon as you look at the menu which is easily readable and allows all tastes to find something to suit them (land or sea side you will be served). A real pleasure, our hosts are gracious and take the time to describe our dishes to us, which we appreciated. Congratulations to the various teams, both in the kitchen and in the dining room, we will be back.

Always a fantastic meal. Fine dining without the price tag. The staff are well trained, very personable and speak English if needed. This is our go-to restaurant for the most delicious food. Never disappoints....

We visited with friends and had a delicious meal. It was made slightly challenging as we don’t speak French and L’Argentiere do not speak English or provide English menus. Google translate on our phones was needed to work out what we wanted to eat. I always like to order food that I would not normally have at home, so on this occasion I went for the Pigeon Breast. It was utterly delicious, tender, flavourful with the most amazing sauce. Despite realising that we couldn’t speak French, the waiters insisted on delivering their speech in French as they presented the plates of food and describing each element on the plate. Unfortunately it was completely lost on us as we had no idea what they were saying. We had two courses from the La Carte menu. I chose the cheese selection for dessert which came with a long speech describing the cheeses again entirely in French which meant we had to guess what the cheeses were. Oddly for a cheese selection there were no accompaniments, no chutney, no grapes, no crackers etc, just 3 small pieces of cheese on a plate.
