L'armoise sur Tignes

Excellent meal, friendly service, homemade food

Despite some negative reviews about the tartiflette, we decided to give it a try and weren't disappointed. Generous portions, firm potatoes, plenty of meat, and not too much fat... In short, very good. The desserts, a delicious hot and cold apple tea, were generously garnished and very tasty. The service was very pleasant and quick; we were delighted we came.

Very friendly servers and lovely, warming food. Cosy atmosphere with a rustic chalet interior.

The food was amazing! The service was excellent! Go without hesitation!

A mixed experience. The beef fondue was good, but the blueberry tart was completely uninteresting, as the lemon overpowered the blueberry flavor, and the cream cheese smothered everything. A good restaurant in Tignes, but the service was deplorable. We were given a table next to the kitchen and the restrooms, even though there were several tables available… any self-respecting restaurateur knows that this is the last place to offer when the shift is full… never mind. At a table of six, two friends ordered a set menu but then changed their minds about dessert. Instead of charging for a main course plus dessert (which would have been more expensive), the owner decided to charge for the menu plus the génépi dessert, thus charging for two desserts, one of which we didn't eat… explaining that the portions were smaller in the menu, she couldn't charge the price of the regular dish… it was incredibly confusing, a blatant rip-off to make us pay more… so I don't recommend this place in Tignes!

We really enjoyed this simple and good restaurant with its family atmosphere, which we truly appreciated. They gave us a very warm welcome despite the restaurant being full. We ordered the hot stone beef, which was very generous, the sauces were delicious, the gratin dauphinois was incredible, and the meat was also very good. It's the least expensive restaurant we've been to in Tignes, and by far the best. We will gladly return. Special mention for the groll offered at the end of the meal, which we enjoyed 😋

A moldy crouton in the fondue and not even a small digestif offered. A lack of business sense.
