A popular restaurant in the port area, with a diverse menu, affordable prices, and friendly service. Unfortunately, the langoustines were falling apart (probably due to an undercooking issue), and the octopus kebab could be more generous (both the octopus and the fries).

Excellent restaurant. Friendly welcome and perfect service. Delicious mussel stew from Oléron; shark with green banana in Creole sauce, a delight. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A fantastic evening with friends at L’Assiette du Capitaine in La Cotinière! The welcome was truly top-notch: the owner and waitresses were lovely, smiling, and incredibly attentive. The atmosphere is warm, the decor is charming, and the menu is original, featuring excellent products. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal: mussels prepared in the traditional style with fries and local beer for us, and grilled shark for another guest. Everything was delicious, and the portions were generous. The cheese was also served in a unique way. Special mention goes to the homemade desserts, which were divine: profiteroles, apple tart, café liégeois… it was hard to choose! All this at very reasonable prices. A wonderful time was had here. If you're ever in La Cotinière, this is definitely a place you shouldn't miss!
