An excellent lunch in Langon with very nicely presented plates and with real work on the flavors, particularly the sauces which are divine. The menu has the merit of clarity with a single price per menu for whatever dishes and some small supplements but it is simpler to compare the à la carte prices. Idea to generalize quickly! The restaurant deserves its Michelin macaron but the step to reach the first star still seems very high to me because the menu has no originality apart from a discreet ginger lemongrass bisque or a beetroot gastric sauce whose taste I have not identified announcement. The dishes and what accompanies them remain very classic. Salmon/ scallops/ duck breast. For desserts you have to hire a pastry chef. We come to a Michelin-starred restaurant to be surprised, discover new tastes and remember something unique. This is not - yet - the case with Flavien although the talent is there, it must be exploited. I would challenge him to give him any list of 5 ingredients and I am sure he would make some. wonders. In short, you have to dare - keep the classics to reassure but I want to be surprised next time! (Small downside, the room was freezing when I arrived around 12:30 at lunch - it was better afterwards).
