A great place in Luchon.
It's a nice change from the usual charcuterie and cheese shops. Good food, competitive prices.
Even without a reservation, they take in quite a few extra customers.
The only downside is that there can sometimes be a long wait.
My friend and I decided to try this restaurant despite the reviews we'd read, to form our own opinion.
It's true that at first glance, the welcome can seem a little cold.
However, you can tell that the lady in the dining room is very invested in her work.
With a little kindness and conversation, she finally revealed a lovely smile.
We both chose the royal couscous, and it was simply delicious, a real success!
I wouldn't go so far as to give it 5 stars, but a good rating of 4 seems well-deserved.
The only minor drawbacks: there wasn't enough fresh water and ice that evening, and a little musical background would have made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, it was a wonderful culinary experience that we don't regret at all.
Given that some reviews are truly unjustified, it's impossible to give less than 5 stars. The couscous is delicious and the value for money is perfect. We've been coming to Luchon for two years now and are always satisfied. Don't let one-star reviews discourage you.
Good luck to you.
I had booked a table for 4, but our table wasn't marked reserved. Luckily, no one took the last table for 4 left!
Otherwise, the service was excellent, provided by charming staff, and the couscous was excellent—I recommend it!
Very good oriental restaurant. The couscous is delicious but a little expensive, especially the Royal couscous alone. A price around €23/25 would be more appropriate.
