Excellent cuisine. We returned to eat there a second time during our stay. We highly recommend it.
11/08/2026: Since it opened, every summer I've had the pleasure of treating myself to a meal at Chez Tao in Luchon. I've never been disappointed. The home cooking is excellent, the blend of spices is perfect. A big thank you to this family for their warm welcome and their delicious cuisine.

21/07/2026: We were a group of five and it was a wonderful evening! The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the staff remained attentive and helpful throughout the entire evening! The homemade cocktail (perhaps just a sprig of rosemary and a slice of lemon for presentation, but excellent nonetheless) was delicious, as were all the other drinks!
The food was absolutely delicious, and we ordered everything from meat and fish to a vegetarian option, all of which tasted fantastic. The desserts are highly recommended; they were innovative, unique, and simply delicious!
Overall, the restaurant has a personal touch and a wonderful atmosphere! Highly recommended.

28/07/2026: The service and welcome were perfect; however, the quality of the food, specifically the butcher's cuts, was tasteless. The meat served with fries, salad, and an unreasonable amount of ratatouille meant that some of the plates ended up in the bin. It's a shame; more quality, less quality, would have been preferable.

Good value for money.
We've eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. A nice bonus: they accept ANCV holiday vouchers.
22/07/2026: I ordered entrecote, which came with potatoes, and it was delicious. I added Roquefort sauce, which was served separately in a small saucepan. Highly recommended.

16/07/2026: While on holiday in Luchon, we ordered six pizzas. Absolutely nothing to complain about, excellent. The lady was incredibly kind. The pizzas were of exemplary quality, generously topped, and even the next day at lunchtime, the flavor was still the same.

One small negative point: the waitress talked a bit too much about her life, but she was still very friendly.

Review of a meal eaten in August, as the hotel is closed in winter.
A very pleasant surprise.
Impeccable service.
Quality menus and dishes, a welcome change from the other restaurants in town, which too often resemble fast food.

30/07/2026: Stopped in for lunch today and enjoyed a delicious Moroccan salad, chicken tagine, and ice cream. The woman running the place was friendly and patient with my bad French; the food was well prepared, piping hot, and delicious. (If you don't like spicy food, don't worry, it wasn't spicy!). It was pleasant sitting outdoors, the kitchen didn't take too long to deliver anything, and all in all I have no complaints whatsoever. Is it the most amazing Moroccan food ever? Well, no, but given that it's in a small town in the Pyrenees, it's way better than it has any right to be! After four weeks of Basque chicken, spaghetti Bolognaise, and other hikers' food on the GR 10, it really hit the spot. Yum.
28/07/2026: Everything was great, the tagine was delicious, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Good prices. We'll be back.

07/04/2026: I was on vacation and bought a birthday cake and two loaves of bread to make sandwiches. The cake was amazing 🙌 and the bread... I don't know if it was the route we took or the bread itself, haha, but they turned out to be some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Thanks!
25/03/2026: Visited on March 25, 2026, treated like dirt, all because I was on the phone. If you want to be disrespected, this is the best place in Luchon.
