Excellent table, the waitress is smiling and welcoming. The meal is excellent, truly an address to remember in Agen. We came as a family and everyone found a menu to their liking.

This isn't the first time we've had dinner at Aubade. However, this time, we were very disappointed! And for good reason: We arrived on a Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m. without booking. Greeted by the not very cheerful waiter: “- Have you made a reservation?” us: “No” Waiter: “well, have a seat (moment of hesitation), here.” And he leaves without worrying about anything. Fortunately his colleague raised the bar by taking our order with a much more pleasant attitude; The few times this waiter came to our table, we felt a bit of an annoyance due to his nonchalant and “the sooner you eat, the sooner you leave” attitude... Additionally, when he lit the tealight holders on the empty tables, he picked up a cigarette butt from a table. Looked at him and threw him to the ground blasély. Order of wine and water as well as carafe of water non-existent. For the meal, we were disappointed with the duck breast which lacked tenderness. For the Duck Confit, a little cooking fat was missing which would have prevented its hardness. It is a shame for a restaurant benefiting from the title of Maître Restaurateur not to have a friendly and smiling server.

Good meal, quiet. Careful service, full of attention, with a smile. Very good gourmet salad, just a little too much oil for my taste, in addition to the gizzards.

The restaurant is somewhat hidden in the center of Agen with a terrace on a church square. We could make a reservation online for 8 people for dinner on a friday evening, which makes life more comfortable. We were welcomed by the chef who presented the menu personally, which is always a nice thing (at least you can ask anything about ingredients and cooking and actually get a correct answer). We had different menu topics for the group, 2 kids included without any problem. The food was very good and the wine excellent and at very affordable prices. The only problem was that the full terrace had to be served by one waitress resulting in some waiting time a a few little mistakes, but overall we had a good time and were pretty satisfied with the food and the atmosphere.
