L'Aubade sur Agen

This isn't the first time we've had dinner at Aubade. However, this time, we were very disappointed! And for good reason: We arrived on a Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m. without booking. Greeted by the not very cheerful waiter: “- Have you made a reservation?” us: “No” Waiter: “well, have a seat (moment of hesitation), here.” And he leaves without worrying about anything. Fortunately his colleague raised the bar by taking our order with a much more pleasant attitude; The few times this waiter came to our table, we felt a bit of an annoyance due to his nonchalant and “the sooner you eat, the sooner you leave” attitude... Additionally, when he lit the tealight holders on the empty tables, he picked up a cigarette butt from a table. Looked at him and threw him to the ground blasély. Order of wine and water as well as carafe of water non-existent. For the meal, we were disappointed with the duck breast which lacked tenderness. For the Duck Confit, a little cooking fat was missing which would have prevented its hardness. It is a shame for a restaurant benefiting from the title of Maître Restaurateur not to have a friendly and smiling server.

Good meal, quiet. Careful service, full of attention, with a smile. Very good gourmet salad, just a little too much oil for my taste, in addition to the gizzards.

The restaurant is somewhat hidden in the center of Agen with a terrace on a church square. We could make a reservation online for 8 people for dinner on a friday evening, which makes life more comfortable. We were welcomed by the chef who presented the menu personally, which is always a nice thing (at least you can ask anything about ingredients and cooking and actually get a correct answer). We had different menu topics for the group, 2 kids included without any problem. The food was very good and the wine excellent and at very affordable prices. The only problem was that the full terrace had to be served by one waitress resulting in some waiting time a a few little mistakes, but overall we had a good time and were pretty satisfied with the food and the atmosphere.

Very good restaurant, very friendly staff

Have a good evening with the family!!! Quality cuisine, we ate very well. Small downside is the waiting time!!! Arriving at 7:40 p.m., we just had an aperitif and the dishes arrived at 9:05 p.m. (with a child that's a long time...). We weren't in a hurry but there you go. Especially since a table that arrived well after us was served almost immediately (we had reserved and they had not). The desserts on the other hand were served without saying anything. The waitress was very nice and she did her best but poor thing alone is not possible. This in no way detracts from the quality of the restaurant which I still recommend. Looking forward to it

Exceptional restaurant in every sense of the word and well known to workers at Place des Jacobins or the Cité. Everything is perfectly right there. Thank you for everything you do and for your commitment.

Very good South-West burgers and excellent seafood dishes. Amazing welcome. Very pleasant terrace.

Sur la route des vacances entre Lyon et le Gers, nous avons fait une halte à Agen à 9 en famille et avons déjeuné à l’Aubade et installés en terrasse sous un magnifique soleil, nous avons passé un excellent moment. L’accueil est super et nous avons l’occasion de discuter avec les cuisiniers. La carte est assez variée avec pas mal de salades dont la landaise qui a beaucoup plu. Pour ma part, j’ai pris une assiette de pêcheur copieuse et délicieuse avec des gambas, des huîtres, des moules, des supions, le tout pour 20 €, un excellent prix. Un excellent restaurant en plein centre d’Agen que nous recommandons.
