What a delightful surprise L’Aubépine was! The concept of a surprise menu intrigued us, and the result delighted us. The cuisine is inventive, the dishes meticulously prepared, the chef shares his inspirations with us, and we had a wonderful evening, discovering a series of delicious flavors. Admittedly, it's not as affordable as a burger at Buffalo Grill, but we'll cherish the memory for a long time.

Wow, what a hidden gem. Honest seasonal flavors, combined with hospitality and perfectly paired wines. The chef handles everything from cooking and serving to explanations—the complete picture. A delicious Michelin-star level surprise menu for less than €50 per person.

This is our second visit, and each time the surprise menu has been a very pleasant surprise. The combination of flavors is always spot-on, featuring fresh, seasonal produce, remarkably well-prepared. The chef, who works alone, has an open kitchen overlooking the small dining room, which seats no more than twenty, allowing him to manage his establishment efficiently without long waits. If you're a wine enthusiast, a glass is suggested to pair with each course. This is truly artisanal and flavorful cuisine, practiced by a genuine enthusiast – a must-try.

Impeccable restaurant with a fantastic team!

A very good restaurant that we highly recommend. We were pleasantly surprised by the evening concept (surprise dinner), which we loved. The cuisine is refined, and the chef is attentive to our preferences. You can go there without hesitation.

A very interesting concept: the menu (evenings only) is a surprise. You indicate any allergies or ingredients you don't like, and the chef cooks for you. He single-handedly handles the cooking (you can even watch him work behind a glass partition), the service, and provides very clear explanations about the origin of his ingredients and the flavor combinations in each dish. He also works with wine pairings, which adds a wonderful dimension to the meal. A friendly atmosphere in a beautiful setting, run by a true enthusiast. It's a superb experience that I will gladly repeat!

Dinner on May 2nd. We found the restaurant online without knowing the price. A slight surprise upon arrival when we were told the four-course meal was €46.00. The rest was pure delight: friendly, precise, warm, pleasant, and affordable service. Refined and inventive cuisine. A very successful wine pairing of three glasses for €24. We were just tourists passing through, which is a shame because it's a place we would have returned to without hesitation. As Dijon natives, we rarely have the opportunity to experience restaurateurs who make a difference with a Kir and chestnut-flavored wine (also excellent), and this is one of them. A truly great, almost gourmet restaurant. Bravo!

The food was as excellent as ever, with clear explanations from the chef. We especially loved the asparagus and monkfish starter. The surprise dinner menu was a real treat and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
