L'Auberge de la Vanne sur Fontvannes

What a delightful surprise to stumble upon the Auberge de la Vanne, and that's no joke. We stopped by chance, and we weren't disappointed at all, quite the opposite. Delicious local produce, original dishes, and a refined yet unpretentious presentation of each course—bravo and thank you to the three people who go above and beyond for their guests. A warm and welcoming inn that's sure to grow, not to be missed.

Great food and lovely service. Lights are too bright for me but if you want an authentic local French place to eat with beautiful service then come here. Food is great as is the champagne! And you can practice your French all you like! But they speak English too ☺️

Excellent food, delicious country terrine, melt-in-your-mouth beef tenderloin, and succulent pork stir-fry. Very generous service; we will gladly return.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while passing through and we weren't disappointed. A warm welcome, delicious and generous portions, and very reasonable prices. Plus, there's a great atmosphere among the staff who work quickly and cheerfully. All the best to everyone!

What can I say except good things about this place, this warm and smiling team, these generous and delicious dishes, from appetizer to dessert! I will definitely come back when I am in the area again and I invite everyone to come and enjoy a delicious meal.

A beautiful presentation and a great waitress, but marred by misleading descriptions and some awkward moments. Special mention to the young waitress, absolutely fantastic, who provided impeccable service and was honest enough to admit the oversight regarding the set menu (which we were not informed about when making the reservation, online, or upon arrival). As for the food, the dishes were very carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The cooks clearly do their best with the ingredients they are given, but advertising "tuna and avocado tartare" when it is actually just canned tuna is false advertising. The rest of the meal (low-quality chicken, potatoes) suffers from the same cost-cutting approach, despite the effort put into the kitchen. As for the bar and management: The non-alcoholic cocktail: Reduced to a simple apple juice cut with grenadine and two mint leaves in a basic glass. No effort whatsoever. The beer: Served completely flat, with the curious practice of having the staff taste it directly behind the bar before pouring another, equally disappointing one. The bill: The waitress came to apologize at dessert time, citing a problem with the beer tap, but despite this, we were charged full price for the faulty beer (€10, no less), without any attempt at compensation. An establishment that relies on the deserving work of its young waitress and cooks, but is heavily penalized by misleading product choices and an overall lack of business acumen.

What a wonderful discovery! We didn't know this place at all, but we had a very pleasant time. The meal was generous and delicious. Thank you so much for your warm welcome and for making my birthday special with a little rocket on dessert. We will definitely be back!
