28/06/2026: This is the second time my wife and I have eaten lunch here. It's easily one of the top six gourmet restaurants in the Aube region, along with Auberge de Sainte Maure, Au Bois du Bon Séjour, Au Petit Basson, L'Oxalys, and O des Lys. Le Garde Champêtre is a beautiful establishment, a superb renovation of a former train depot. The cuisine is fresh, flavorful, and inventive. The wine list is magnificent. The service is impeccable, just the right amount of attention. The chefs clearly enjoy their work, and it shows in the food. Bravo! We will be back.

23/05/2026: Great first impression of the beautiful courtyard with its plants, the restaurant, and the table arrangement with ample space between each table. Wonderful food from start to finish; the appetizer was divine, and the foie gras was one of the best I've ever had. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back.

We had a small issue, and they called us back to let us know, which was very much appreciated. I highly recommend it.

The value for money is excellent. When the bill arrived, what a surprise to learn that the waiter was both the owner and the cook! Astounding! This owner deserves our support; believe me, he works hard to serve us. A must-try restaurant in Troyes!!!

Chez Axelle is a superb, tranquil spot where the husband (?) warmly welcomes and serves with genuine enthusiasm while his wife is busy in the kitchen, ensuring a generous and satisfying meal. Please be sure to make a brunch reservation, especially on Sundays, as it's essential to enjoy the service. Thank you again, it was DELICIOUS. We'll be back!!!

09/06/2026: This restaurant, which has been operating in a 200-year-old house for 80 years, serves local traditional cuisine. You can dine in the quaint and elegant indoor space or in the outdoor garden! However, the location is really in the countryside, so you have to drive there to get there!

20/05/2026: Excellent cuisine in a rustic setting. The garden is beautifully maintained, with superb plants. The decor is unique, featuring a collection of menus, watering cans, and antique plates, among other things. Watch out for the cat!

12/05/2026: Very good andouillette, wine merchant with choice and advice, nice atmosphere, but the lamb, otherwise well cooked, was almost all fat.

11/05/2026: A truly unique spot! We had a wonderful evening at this wine bar and bistro. The menu is short (a sign of fresh ingredients), and the food was excellent. But the real draw is discovering natural wines. As big fans of classic Burgundy wines, we were given a refreshing change of pace, but in a good way, with some great discoveries thanks to the team's passionate advice. A fantastic restaurant for an evening with friends!
