In this very pretty village on the edge of the Rambouillet forest, you'll find this "real" village bistro, family-run as it should be. In this bistronomic desert—between the neglected Rambouillet, the inns trying too hard, and the unjustifiably overpriced Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay—here is the real deal. The welcome is attentive, the truly homemade cuisine is simple and good—delicious parsley ham, perfect tripe, salmon (overcooked) but well-seasoned—you feel right at home. The family bistro has been taken over by the grandchildren who believe in it, and so do we! Pleasant terrace by a quiet road.
