For my 30th birthday in June 1992 with my friends, we were warmly welcomed in person by JP Haeberlin. An extraordinary moment of refinement of French cuisine that will remain engraved forever!!! We arrived before 12 p.m. to leave at 7 p.m. filled with happiness!!! Mr. Jean-Pierre Haeberlin was kind enough to offer me a glass of Château Yquem for my birthday! All Alsatian elegance!!! Just one piece of advice: You have to live this experience once in your life to be in paradise!!!

We had the chance to discover this magnificent place in a very flowery setting on the banks of the Ill, thanks to the gift given to us by my brother and my sister-in-law on the occasion of my 60th birthday. We were very well received, the staff were very pleasant and attentive. The menu was simply divine and the wines exceptional. We had a very pleasant time And we were pampered throughout our meal and even after. Very nice memory. Thank you!

The Auberge de L'ill is the institution of Alsatian haute cuisine. No false notes from start to finish, everything is perfect. The smiling staff, caring, a wonderful welcome from Ms. Haeberlin who is incredibly kind. In everyone's eyes you are important and unique. We ordered the tasting menu which is a discovery of refined flavors from start to finish. An aperitif on the banks of the Ill as well as coffee in an idyllic setting. No downside, everything is perfect, a real dream half day

Ich mag es, wenn die Klassik gepflegt wird. Erstklassig waren Hummer, soufflierter Lachs und Bressehuhn. Insbesondere die getrüffelte Jus war göttlich gut. Sehr faire Preise beim Wein, sehr freundlicher Service - wunderbar!

Tolle Lage am Fluss mit wunderschönem gepflegten Garten, das Ambiente im Restaurant kann man mit modernem Luxus beschreiben. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, aber nicht aufdringlich. Vom Essen waren wir total begeistert, wir haben selten so gut gegessen, das Restaurant ist unter den Top 3 in unserem Ranking. Alles in allem kann man sagen, dass das Gebotene seinen Preis auf jeden Fall rechtfertigt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Restaurant A la Truite

16/09/2024: The restaurant has recently been completely and beautifully renovated. I like to go there for the dish of the day, economical and always excellent. Today, pumpkin soup, roast chicken, accompanied by fries and a salad, blueberry pie. A good beer well drawn on that. All for less than €20. The new decoration is pleasant and the atmosphere rather cozy despite the room being almost full. Terrace overlooking the Ill. Impeccable disabled toilets, with changing table, on the ground floor. Easy disabled access. I can only recommend it, because in addition to the dish of the day, the house offers a beautiful menu. Note: Paul Haeberlin considered the place his canteen when the Auberge de l’Ill, opposite, was closed. As I understand it. (In catering, I reserve 5 stars for gourmet restaurants... if they deserve them. When I see fatty kebabs with 5* I tell myself that we don't all have the same taste buds. Mine are fine, thank you).
14/09/2024: A great discovery, well-mastered freshwater fish dishes, beautiful room overlooking the Ill Special mention for the lady who served our table upstairs, a very attentive, discreet and pleasant person.
