A very warm welcome. The young trainee waiter was very pleasant. The meal was flawless. Snails, foie gras, beef fillet, trout au bleu, vacherin, and gourmet coffee. A truly wonderful discovery. An address to remember.

We had a wonderful family meal at La Truite, l'Illhausern. It was a fantastic discovery! The lunch menu is simply incredible: very generous portions, beautifully presented, and excellent value for money (around €19 for a starter, main course, and dessert). The food is delicious, plentiful, and prepared with care—you can tell the ingredients are fresh and expertly handled. The service is impeccable: warm, attentive, and quick without being rushed. A special mention goes to the lovely terrace, which offers a superb view of the surrounding countryside—a truly relaxing experience. It's a place where you feel comfortable, where the food is excellent, and where you'll want to return. I highly recommend it, especially for the lunch menu, which is a great deal. Well done to the whole team for this wonderful experience!
