L'Auberge du Gros - Lorraine sur Maizery

Sur le chemin du retou de vacances, j'ai cherché un endroit sympa pour manger avec ma famille. J'ai eu la belle surprise de tomber sur l'Auberge du Gros. Tout était parfait. L'accueil, la carte, le conseil, l'assiette. A (re-)découvrir.

Very good dishes, impeccable service, I recommend

After dropping off my vehicle at the village garage, I headed towards this hostel to be patient. I found a warm and generous welcome there. Thank you very much to the lady at the counter this morning, we will definitely come and look for this same warmth during a future dinner!

Room reserved for a midday meal for my daughter's communion. The meal is excellent. And that's it... Moderately friendly staff, who encourage consumption of wine (the least expensive bottles are not available, we offer you the most expensive bottles). And then jokingly after spending more than a thousand euros for 20 people we ask if the digestive is offered, the chef replies that no... in short, to do it again we will do elsewhere...

Room rather “outdated” and sad! Otherwise, comfortable bedding, the room is clean and quiet. The restaurant service is top notch, it's good, it's beautiful, and the staff is friendly! The kidneys...a marvel!

Little stop for lunch by chance. I had taken care to read the reviews beforehand, so I was pretty confident. Well, we were pleasantly surprised. Very friendly welcome. The food is good, the wine offered by the glass was very good and matched my dish. The cheese platter is very good, with plenty of choice. Very reasonable price given the quality offered. We'll come back ☺️

Nous sommes allés à plusieurs reprises dans cet établissement qui est sur notre route avec la maison. On est toujours bien accueilli. L’hôtel est simple de confort mais s’en cache. Et on y va pour la nourriture. Le tarte l’été est super. L’hiver plus les repas copieux sont sur la carte. La vue des chambres dans les champs. Le pt deujener au top. A la prochaine !

Excellent cuisine, careful service Ample parking. Live on the N3 METZ - St AVOLD. Reasonable prices. We only pass by regularly so have not tested the hotel.
