L'Auberge du Moulin sur Saint-Gervais-La-Foret

My wife and I stopped at this great little auberge with our dog on route to Château de Villesavin. The menu is simple but all everything was delicious, my favourite was the extensive salad buffet for the first course. Both the wine and desserts also excellent, whilst the waiter was friendly and made us feel at home. Their terrace area was an extremely welcome escape from the heat. At €18, the three courses plus cheese and wine was extremely good value. The auberge is unpretentious and reminded me of the brilliant no-nonsense french restaurants that I used to visit with my grandfather. A wonderful find...thank you for a great lunch!

At Auberge du Moulin, the food is as good as the service and its speed. It's truly an excellent place to eat lunch between work projects. However, that doesn't mean it's not suitable for families or couples. The variety of dishes and desserts leads me to highly recommend this establishment.
