Great welcome, superb atmosphere. The food is very tasty there

We don't know the hotel, only the restaurant. Very good and plentiful. We recommend calling to reserve a table, rather than the Internet which did not work (twice). Very warm welcome, we will come back.

I had a very nice mushroom stroganoff, instead of a roast dinner and I definitely made the right choice in having rice and chips with it

We booked, looking at the previous recommendations, and were not disappointed! We have a house in Charente, but we wanted to explore more. We had a good walk around Ruffec first, then ventured here. We were early, but that wasn't a problem. The Plat de Jour menu was exceptional value for money. Cooked to order, service from arrival was friendly. Food amazing value for money, we did the whole lazy lunch, 4 courses, and wine for the non driver. After our meal, we got chatting to Sean, who told us more about how they arrived here and gave us a quick tour. In addition to serving amazing food (there is also a full a la carte), the rooms are beautifully finished. Highly recommend visiting for a great experience. Thank you, Sean and team. We will return!

Excellent lunch at a good price. Restaurant rooms are great, really nice French vibes. Large terrace to the front of the building. Service was impeccable and attentive. We were shown around a couple of the letting bedrooms by our host before we left, which were clean and well decorated, would be happy to stay here!

We had dinner there, on the terrace, the place is quite charming, flowery, English-style. The meal was very good, homemade, perhaps hence the slow service, visibly lacking in staff in August. The interior is very beautiful, stone walls, beams, lots of charm.

This is a place you need to visit. Its in the middle of no where! Table booked for 7.30 and didn't leave till 11pm The food was beautiful and so lovely and sitting out just made in magical. Lighting in the garden makes it so lovely.

Great place for lunch, excellent choice, excellent service, excellent price. Shame they aren't closer.

Une très belle Auberge en pleine campagne .. en vieilles pierres .. un accueil souriant par une dame anglaise .. une très jolie carte très bien maîtrisée ( je conseille les lasagnes maison ) et une chouette carte des vins à prix doux ( 19€ en moyenne ) . Allez y même si vous ne parlez pas anglais .. deco so british . Je recommande ++
