L'Authentique sur Lille

I wanted to try Amandine Henry's famous childhood chip shop. Disappointed. They gave me a small amount of chips, which they (mistakenly) charged me €7.50 for. Even though the overcharge was refunded without any problem (thank you for your honesty!), I found the quality of the chips very average. I prefer my usual chip shop.

Quick service despite the crowd, and with a smile. The fries were good, well-cooked... but that's a matter of taste.

Chip shop, good selection of snacks. Only downside, they forgot my raw vegetables.

It's good, but the quantity of fries has decreased in the last few months, which is a shame.

Good evening, I ordered a bacon burger with extra nuggets this evening, and unfortunately, the order I received wasn't correct. I received some kind of sandwich, presumably with pork, instead of a bacon burger. The meal was still excellent, but I'm a little disappointed not to have received what I ordered. I have a photo to prove it if needed. Have a good evening.

The best chip shop in the Lille metropolitan area, and perhaps even beyond! True, but it has fallen into the trap of Uberization, to the detriment of customers who come in for direct sales. Consequently, queues and waiting times are getting longer because the staff (never the same ones, high turnover) prioritize Uber Eats orders. It's regrettable and deplorable! It should also be noted that the service and portion sizes are often inconsistent and depend on who is serving.

The fries were very good. The burger would be better served in a lighter burger bun.

I moved to the north four years ago, and this is the best chip shop in the north, in my opinion. All the burgers are good, the service is excellent, and all the staff are very friendly.

Old-fashioned chip shop, reasonable prices, I recommend it. Good northern beer.
