A magnificent place to discover in the mountains! ❤️ The drive up to the Col de Turini is already a wonderful experience: the road winds through the mountains, and the scenery becomes increasingly breathtaking as you climb. Once you arrive, what a pleasure it is to breathe in that pure, fresh air! You discover magnificent nature, tall fir trees, a dense, verdant forest, mountains all around… A true escape and an incredible sense of calm. Even in summer, the cool air at altitude is so refreshing. You really feel like you're leaving the city behind and finding yourself in the heart of nature. And to end your trip, a few small cafes and restaurants offer a place to take a break in a welcoming atmosphere. A truly beautiful place that I highly recommend for a getaway, to enjoy nature, fresh air, and magnificent scenery. 🌲🏔️❤️

A classic hill to climb on a motorbike, with a winding road going up, narrow and two-way! But it's always nice to reach the top.

It all started a long time ago when I set out to climb the Col de Turini from the Lantosque side, then descended to Peira-Cava and L'Escarène. I continued on to the Col de Braus before tackling the Col de Turini again from the Sospel side, which I found rather long. Since then, I've climbed it via the Col de l'Ablé, the Col St Roch, and especially for my old Embrunman training runs. It's an exceptional playground, as there's always room to add to the challenge.

The Col de Turini is one of the most spectacular mountain passes in the Maritime Alps and a must-see for motorcycle enthusiasts. The road is completely paved and offers a continuous succession of curves, hairpin bends, and changes in landscape, passing through forests, gorges, and splendid mountain scenery until reaching an altitude of 1,607 meters. The route from Sospel, passing through Moulinet, is particularly picturesque and offers a pleasant and never monotonous ride. The pass is also famous for the Monte-Carlo Rally, which has made these hairpin bends a true symbol of motorsport. A road to take slowly, enjoying every curve and stopping at scenic spots. On clear days, you can admire the mountains all the way to the Mediterranean coast. A truly special place and one of the most beautiful roads to include in a motorcycle itinerary in the south of France.

Hotel Restaurant Les Chamois

03/05/2026: ​It was a really nice stay after fulfilling the dream about climbing up the Col De Turini on the car. Owner is really friendly, easy to talk to and has no problem with english speakers. The hotel has some history and the special taste in decorations is something that makes this hotel special. Staircase is full of Rally posters and restaurant is full of pinball tables with some nostalgic souvenirs. It was a cozy stay, as a fan of rally, i was really happy. Rooms were big and clean, balcony was big with nice view and the breakfast were made with love. We will be back someday!:)
22/03/2026: Michel gave me a very warm welcome. He immediately handled a slightly complicated situation, as I arrived early despite having booked only 15 minutes beforehand. He gave me the key, showed me the room, and even took the time to set up the television! The rooms are clean and have everything you need for a pleasant stay. The atmosphere at dinner was wonderful, and what can I say about the homemade dishes, prepared with seasonal vegetables straight from Italy… A real treat! The food was delicious. The decor is incredible, and the service was just as good: I felt right at home. I wanted to thank you, as it had been a very trying day for me, and you really cheered me up! Passing through on a cycling trip, it was a real pleasure to meet you and chat. I even learned a new expression! So, we can conclude that this hotel is fantastic!! I highly recommend it and, of course, I'll be back!

Hôtel des 3 Vallées

26/05/2026: Delicious café and friendly service; I was able to charge my power bank.
09/04/2026: Passing through Turini, we made a quick stop at the Hôtel Restaurant des 3 Vallées for a drink and to enjoy the rally museum. The drink quickly turned into a meal, as the staff were so friendly and welcoming. A truly wonderful time in this legendary place. Thank you to them!
