Le 147 sur Saint-Jouvent

21/09/2025: A restaurant open on Sunday lunchtime is already rare! But when the experience is also very good, it's even rarer!!! Restaurant located opposite the church of St Jouvent at the gates of Limoges, from the outside it looks like a village restaurant, the door wide open, you enter and everyone says hello! Incredible it still exists! Bar, restaurant, FDJ games, a wood insert that suggests beautiful fires, tables and chairs like you would find in small village restaurants! But if you remember (for the older ones), you often found a warm welcome and an atmosphere of exchange of ideas and well-being! Well, St Jouvent is all of that, a warm owner happy to please his customers, who is at the same time bartender, restaurateur, cook, waiter, and once all that is accomplished, certainly cleaner, dishwasher, etc. He knows how to put people at ease, without inconveniencing them, with a smile. The food is served with simple, but high-quality, and well-presented ingredients, with thoughtful touches that we had almost forgotten about, but for him, it's completely natural; there was no fuss in his demeanor. Finding him couldn't be easier! WAZE will take you there; 3 km from the main road is super fast. To put it simply, a great atmosphere, very good food, simple, good, and well-presented! Super friendly and genuine owner, and the prices for a Sunday lunch are more than reasonable, and you leave feeling full, that's for sure!!! One last thing, at the next COVID-style event! Remember who helped you out??? Because I'm not sure they'll still be there if such an event happens! Thanks to him.
