The Balbec and the Grand Hôtel de Cabourg are places we love to gather for special occasions. Our last experience at the Balbec during our weekend getaway in December 2025 left us wanting more. The five scallops in the main course were a far cry from the generous and flavorful dishes of previous dinners. The rest of our stay was perfect.

A must-visit from Cabourg's Belle Époque. It's made tremendous progress in the last 30 years! A true gourmet restaurant now. Excellent service. Refined cuisine, even for brunch.

I'm not going to be objective, I love this place. I enjoyed introducing it to my boys last night, and they had a blast! Plus, on Sunday nights, there's a 20% discount on à la carte dishes 😉 In short, a magical, timeless moment with impeccable service.

Yesterday at noon, for our wedding anniversary, we had the pleasure of having lunch at Balbec. It was a magical moment, with the sea view and this timeless setting. The cuisine is very refined, and the presentation of the dishes awakens all our taste buds. Everything is delicious, from starter to dessert. Furthermore, the service is impeccable, discreet, professional, and warm. A wonderful place and a wonderful memory for both of us.
